A paltry turnout of six graced the Noblegarden celebration in Eton Cyberpod, probably the lowest attendance in a sealed event so far this year. Unfortunately, ECS didn’t join despite arriving on time but he was around to observe our deckbuilding methods and the matches themselves, and was more than enough willing to give me a lengthy lecture on the things I did wrong in-between matches. I ended up learning a lot today:
- In a 2:4 (or 3:3) WB-WotE split, both factions are almost even in terms of quality. This means that I have to take a closer look at my pool of Horde allies, who were bad in WB but got a huge boost in WotE.
- Remember to put everything in piles.
- Use the process of elimination in picking the right class and faction.
- Be flexible in picking your deck’s strategies.
- Review the basics. Curve is everything!
Anyway, at the end of the day, Aaron Arpon won the event, with our very own Marlo trailing closely behind at 2nd place – both at 2-1. As for me, I also ended 2-1 (4th place), but was lucky enough to win the other raffled playmat.

The next event happens on May 22,2011 – a Sunday! Hopefully we’ll have a better turnout.
Until then!
